Ostrava Peripheries
WEEK 39
This is part two of my last post from the peripheries.
Particularly from two districts in Ostrava, Czechia — socially excluded areas inhabited mainly by Roma families. I have more photos from here from the last ten years, since I came back. I keep returning.
I more often go there in winter or when the weather is cold, because on warm days people love to be outside and I don’t feel so comfortable shooting. Sometimes I do, but not comfortably, you know.
I am not invisible there. I am an intruder with a camera. Always.
This is my love. Peripheries.
All photos were shot, as usual, on my Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark II. Straight JPEGs.
Digital guy who loves an analog look.

Nice work. I’d love to see them all in color.
I don’t know the area, but I can really feel the vibe. Super interesting documentary work.
